I love trying out new places to eat and in Dubai theres a new restaurant/cafe opening almost every second - well at least thats how it feels. Just at the beginning of The Walk at JBR, almost opposite Le Royal Meridien Hotel, a new french cuisine 'bakery & cafe' called Crumbs Elysee has opened its doors. Sharing owners with the successful multi branch Reem Al Bawadi, you could only expect this little french restaurant is not going to be your typical; and with shisha available in various flavours it was hard to visualise your anywhere else but Dubai, even with the French music being played in the background.

It wasn't as hot as the previous nights so we decided to sit outdoors in front of the Air Cons of course. It was pretty late so we wanted to eat light, ordering a soup and a salad instead of a main - though i actually ordered a soup and two entrees instead just so i could try out more dishes. My soup was a pumpkin soup, just what you'd expect it to be, creamy in texture and slightly sweet. The entrees i have to admit sounded a lot more exotic on the menu than what appeared on the plates. Presentation was good don't get me wrong but i wasn't blown away by anything i tasted. And my partners salad of prawn and avocado was just mediocre. So not an overall amazing feedback here, but again, we didn't try any of the mains, so maybe it isn't much to judge from. If i will visit again, once tried the mains, i will review the place for you again. Watch this space.

xx

This place is very beautiful. I really love the design and the ambience of the restaurant. The service was excellent and very quick. The employee is friendly and I think this is my new favorite restaurant in Dubai. The food is worth paying for. I really love the taste of every dish that I'd order. I think that the chef has very talented hands. The presentation of the food is so satisfying. I can relate so much in your post. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
