First night in Jakarta, Indonesia, we were advised by out hotel staff to head to one of the town's gems: Skye. Located on the 56th floor of the ABC Tower, a roof top lounge. Not aware of the breathtaking view outside on the actual rooftop, we sat inside, in the restaurant, under the beautiful chandeliers and wooden interior, there was no room to complain. Especially as each serving arrived exceeding way beyond expectations and tickling our every taste bud. I'm not one for spicy food, mainly because i can't actually handle it, and the shock of the spices in the 'mains', totally knocked me away, but it was just so good i couldn't stop eating, burning, drinking a gallon of water and repeating the process all over again! lol.
On the second night, though we had planned to visit an alternative venue for dinner, it happened to be in the same building, and after finding out what we had missed out on the night before (the rooftop terrace with the most incredible view), we returned to Skye; but this time, to be seated out on the rooftop, in the lounge area. Ordered nibbles rather than a whole three course meal, but even that didn't fail to impress. Our first taste of Indonesia and i'm already loving this place. The food in Skye is so good, if your in the area and you don't visit here, it's definitely a sin! With a view so stunning that people queue to take photographs, friendly staff and music playing in the background, Skye is a clear hot spot not to be missed.
